I think you've sealed the deal.Steve Betzhttp://stevebetz.vox.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18879570.post-11369454597951814182008-10-29T14:32:00.000-07:002008-10-29T14:32:00.000-07:00I mean if you tear the book in half and read it a ...I mean if you tear the book in half and read it a half at a time it could work. There are two climaxes in the book. Half way through the second plot starts where the first plot ends. It was a great value for my money though. I paid a buck for the book. All 1300 pages of it.Buddhttp://budd.vox.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18879570.post-78751663068195525312008-10-30T02:58:00.000-07:002008-10-30T02:58:00.000-07:00I actually liked Battlefield Earth (the novel). Don't let that be the decision making point for you, as even the parts of the book that WERE represented in the movie only gain comprehensibility when reading the book.I agree with Budd that this really was almost two separate novels. The first half is entertaining in an action/Rosshttp://typeset.vox.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18879570.post-10966659234947460872008-10-30T03:25:00.000-07:002008-10-30T03:25:00.000-07:00I didn't mean to imply that I didn't like ...I didn't mean to imply that I didn't like the book. I enjoyed it. It was a fun read and I love how humanity was portrayed. It did bog down in a few places and I found myself wanting it to pick back up.Buddhttp://budd.vox.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18879570.post-9220297285579115692008-10-30T03:45:00.000-07:002008-10-30T03:45:00.000-07:00Yeah, those were my thoughts exactly...Yeah, those were my thoughts exactly...Rosshttp://typeset.vox.com/noreply@blogger.com
