I just finished reading Ender's Game to Ashli. She loved it. She has even recruited her friends as toon leaders in her own Phoenix Army at school. Her favorite quotation is, "Cover your butt, Bernard is watching. God." It was great to share this book with her. I hope she remembers it all of her life. It is really rewarding to have a piece of literature that you like so much and to be able to pass it on to your children.

That's awesome. Reading to/with your kids is one of the best ways to bond, in my opinion. I still remember the times my parents read w/ me as a kid and hope my daughters will have the same memories of me reading w/ them...
I loved the Enders books, and the new Bean books too
You get so many Good Dad points for this. Glad she liked it.
Ender's Game is one of the most frequently stolen titles from my library's collection!!! While stealing isn't exactly something I condone, I'm fortunate that I have a budget that allows me to shake my head and smile a bit as we order yet another replacement copy.
