In August of 2008 I entered a contest at
The York Emporium. The rules were simple. Write a short story, one act play, or poem with the theme and title of
Yesterday I Will. So I threw together a a short story attached my $5 entry fee and waited. Today I got an email from them saying that my story was one of twenty five that got selected to be in the anthology. I won't get any royalties from book sales and it isn't getting a huge release or anything, but it will be carried at the online book sellers and at some chain stores in PA. The story I wrote isn't an example of my best work, you will have to judge if it is any good or not. The book will release on April 4th and should be available at amazon the following week. My prize is a complimentary copy of my book. I will let everyone know when it is available online.
Who knows maybe some screenwriter will read the story like the plot and it will be optioned as a movie and I will make lots of money off of the deal. Anything can happen.
My story is about a man that starts living his life backwards. Every morning when he wakes up, it is the day before. So he is able to relive every day of his life and maybe do somethings differently. Is he crazy? Will the changes that he make matter? Find out in your copy of
Yesterday I Will.
