Booking Through Thursday: Meeting authors

Booking Through Thursday: Meeting authors: "Booking Through Thursday

This week's questions were suggested by Cate.

Have you ever stumbled on a reading and found the author so charming you started reading their books? Or, have you ever met a formerly favorite author and stopped reading their works because of how they treated their fans?
"

I would have to say that Haruki Murakami and Neal Stephenson are both authors that I have read one of their books and been inspired to read more.

Murakami is a Japanese writer whose works get translated into English. The book that hooked me was Norwegian Wood.

Stephenson hooked me with The Diamond Age. He writes cyperpunk and can really go into detail about the theme of his books.

That's the second recommend of Norwegian Wood. I just put it on my "to get" list.
