Can you hear me now?

Troy Polamalu was just fined 10k for talking on a phone during a game.  He was pulled from the game due to a concussion and used the phone to call his wife and let her know what was going on as I am sure she was watching the game on television and would be worried watching her husband being escorted by medical staff into the locker room.  Players are not allowed to use electronic devices on the sidelines from 90 minutes before kick-off until the game has ended.

Is this like an airplane?  Will electronic devices cause Ben Cheeseburger’s radar to go wonky leading to interceptions?  Nope, I am sure the NFL just doesn’t want players on the sideline advertising and making money during games for anything other than playing.  While I understand this, how bout putting a glowing red bat-phone down there so players can call loved ones to let them know how bad they are injured before being escorted to the locker room.

I second the motion! I understand why the rule is in place, but come on.
