TV Talk

Okay, I know I haven't seen everything I have wanted to yet, and that tonight is the office, but I think I can assess some new shows for everyone.

Bionic Woman - I almost turned it off, the acting and dialog's were that bad.  Special effects were only a little better.  Why on earth would someone be pissed off that their life and way of life had been saved?  "You almost died.  We had to amputate your arm and your legs.  Did you want to be in a motorized wheel chair?  Because, we can take back all the bionic stuff."  Why didn't Starbuck get the lead?  She is a way better actress.

Journeyman - I liked this more than I thought I would.  It channels The Time Traveler's Wife a bit, but that isn't really a bad thing.  The jury is still out.  I don't really like formulaic shows though.  If it becomes a save a person a week type show, I think I will just watch Quantum Leap reruns.

Prison Break - They are just going to put Scofield in multiple prisons and have him escape from them every season.  The show has always been ridiculous and this year doesn't look to change the formula.

Heroes -  New plots abound.  My question is still what happened to Sylar.

Chuck -I thought this show was going to suck, but it doesn't.  It rocks.  It is witty and charming.   You can't help but like Chuck and hate Captain Awesome.

Kid Nation -  The premise of this show was supposed to be about how kids would run the world if they were in charge.  Unfortunately this is restrained by the amount of rules imposed on them.  They have to be on teams, they have to compete in a challenge, and said challenge dictates a class structure.  The class structure has the upper class get paid the most for doing nothing.  They don't even allow a free market on the show.  Last night they did kill some chickens; that was pretty cool.

The Ultimate Fighter - Same show, different weight class.  I already hate several people on the show.  This show perpetuates the stereotype that all fighters are idiots.

I have not seen Reaper yet.

TV talk

Drive- *CANCELED*  That is right, the show was canceled by Fox.  This show has been shown exactly two times at its time slot.  The show isn't bad.  It isn't ground breaking TV but it was entertaining.  Regardless of how good House is, new episodes of Drive are way better than reruns of House.  I don't think Fox was ever behind the show in the first place.  They only have two episodes to show that are un-aired.  What kind of commitment is 6 episodes.  Instead of showing the final two episodes on TV you will have to watch them through the Drive myspace page this summer.  Let me tell you, someone will rip them and I will DL them because the Fox page sucks.  The previews for this show were less than inspiring.  I saw them and thought that the show would be ridiculous, but I by chance caught part of the two hour premiere and the third episode.  I liked it.  DID YOU HERE ME FOX, YOUR PREVIEWS MADE ME NOT WANT TO WATCH A SHOW THAT I ENDED UP LIKING.

Lost-Back to old form.  I now remember why I liked it in the first place.

The Ultimate Fighter-  A team rallies around in support as another fighter cries.  This guy was blubbering.  Sure he lost, but no need to cry because he was a dummy.

The Office-Creed is hilarious.  Michael is an idiot.  Kelly stole the show.

Scrubs-  Hilarious as ever.  They moved it so I have to watch 30 rock.  That show grows on you.  now they just need to cancel ER.

Smallville- I have kind of given up on this show.

Supernatural-I haven't watched this weeks episode yet, but last weeks was really good and scary enough that my wife left the room.

Veronica Mars- Where are you?!?

Heroes- I am actually looking forward to the future episode.  This show continues to get better and better.

TV Talk

The IFL on UPN (or whatever it is they call that network), isn't bad.  It isn't the UFC, but it will do.  There seems to be a lack of a serious ground game for most fighters.  If someone goes down, they usually bend over fetally and proceed to get pummeled.

Thank God Your Here- was funny for its first episode but the second one fell flat.  The show itself cast normal actors into improv situations.  The hilarity of the episodes will depend on the ability of the person on stage to improv.  Malcolm's Dad (Hal) from Malcolm in the middle was the funniest I have seen so far.  Newman from Seinfeld was a close second.

The Office-Darn you NBC, darn you to heck!  I would like to thank NBC for the numerous commercials letting me know that the office would be starting early and ending late.  I missed the first five minutes and the last ten.  I will have to view it on their website which, I imagine, was there intention.  I didn't even realize that I had missed any of the end until someone at work was talking about it and I was like, "when did that happen."

Scrubs-Goodbye Laverne, you will be missed.  Hello J.D. junior.  One episode was shown out of order or shot out of order because we finally find out what happened to Perry's hair.

The Ultimate Fighter-A guy cries because he can't lose weight.  You will have to scroll down to my sissification post to see my feelings on this.  This season looks to be promising with a bunch of guys with shortman's syndrome.

Heroes-Two more weeks.  Two more long and miserable weeks.  New York is so getting blown up.

Battlestar Gallactica-  As if the second half of this season (minus a few great episodes) wasn't going to drive fans off,  the show isn't coming back for its final season until 2008.  The people over at scifi are about retarded.

Jerricho- tonight we get some answers.  This show has been quite the suprise.
