Momma Cat

There you are momma cat
You ran off but now are back
Looking a bit worse for wear
A little ragged with matted hair
Still a feral look in your eyes
Still a low growl in your cries
Trying to decide to run or stay
Just a little scared either way
Will you venture out again?
Or look back at where you’ve been
and stay where you are loved most of all
