Sunrise on the Day

As i awaken to the beautiful sunrise,
Something strange is seeming to appear:
The clouds start to cover the sun like a disguise,
And the thunder says the end could be near.

The birds are singing their beautiful tune,
The squirrels are starting to play:
But even to those who don't arouse until noon,
Not a soul will know the day.

I Say unto all with eyes of the blind,
You'd better awaken and see:
Weithout the savior your far behind,
For his salvation will set you free.

The Bible will give you plenty of signs,
That the time could be near:
If Jesus is not trusted in souls and minds
In the end you will be left here.

Written by Walter Dolan Black (my father) a long long time ago.
